Professional Background
Chuck has over thirty years of Law Enforcement experience with twenty-five years in Collin County since l98l. He worked as a patrolman and detective with the Allen Police Department from December, l981 until February, l984. In June of l984, Chuck began his career with the Collin County Sheriff’s Office. There he served as a Mental Health Deputy, a Crime Prevention Deputy, a Detention Sergeant, Patrol Sergeant, Support Services Sergeant, Criminal Investigation, Narcotics Section Sergeant. He was promoted to Lieutenant and served as a Shift Commander in the Jail as a Captain. He returned to law enforcement duties as a Lieutenant in Patrol then Narcotics and Commander of the Collin County Child Abuse Task Force. He finished his career with the Sheriff’s office as a Patrol Shift Supervisor with 21 years, ll months service and retired in June of 2007. Prior to coming to Collin County Chuck was involved with his father in the family business of Private Security and Investigations. He began his law enforcement career in Waco, Texas where he married his wife Lana and moved back to Dallas.
Personal Background
Chuck is married to Lana Presley, a Sergeant with the Dallas County Sheriff’s Department where she has been employed for 30 years. They have two children, Chuck Jr., a Network Specialist with an international company who is married with two children and lives in Athens, Texas. They have a daughter Sarah who is a police officer with the Frisco Police Department and lives in McKinney with her husband Tim Schwab, a Dallas Police officer.. His father Kenneth Presley is retired Federal Agent with the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms. His brother Kenneth Presley Jr. is a retired police sergeant with the Plano Police Department.
